Briedis has also put together quite a few championship accolades over the years. He has claimed world cruiserweight titles with the WBC, IBO, and WBO.
These 200 pounders are heavy-handed individuals and some in the boxing community are theorizing that this bout does not go the distance. I’m actually not of that opinion and I see this one going for the full 12 rounds this fight has been scheduled for.

Dorticos’ five-inch reach advantage and his exemplary KO rate of 92-percent make him seem like a compelling underdog bet but I see Briedis leading the dance in this one.
Briedis’ last couple outings have been characterized as a tad flat by pundits and fans of the sweet science. I can see him tapping into the form that he had against Oleksandr Usyk where he impressed many in the boxing community albeit in a losing effort to Usyk.
Still though that was the lone pro loss in Briedis’ career and he gave the supremely dominant Usyk arguably his toughest career fight. The same Usyk that is still unbeaten, was the first cruiserweight to unify all of the major belts since Evander Holyfield 30 years ago and has since moved up to heavyweight after pretty thoroughly clearing out the cruiserweight ranks.
In the end, I see Mairis Briedis securing the victory here via unanimous decision when Dorticos vs Briedis goes down.
